Aug. 8, 1937—April 19, 2015 Roger A. Douglass, 77 formerly of Fairfield Glade, died April 19, 2015, in Zanesville, OH. He was born Aug. 8, 1937, in Milwaukee, WI, to the late Harold and Dorothy (Struebring) Douglass. He married Georgia A. Helmke on June 9, 1962. She preceded him in death Oct. 15, 2009. Douglass was a lifelong member of Elmbrook Church in Brookfield, WI, and also worshipped at Faith Bible Fellowship in Fairfield Glade after he and Georgia retired. He served in the United States Air Force during the Cuban Missile Crisis in the 1960s. Douglass worked in the magazine printing industry for 47 years, and never stopped taking classes to continue his education. He was an active member of Demolay and Masons for many years. Surviving are three children, Steve (Lisa) Douglass of Zanesville, OH; Shannon (Scott) Campbell of St. Louis, MO, and Ryan (Tracey) Douglass of Phoenix, AZ. Seven grandchildren are also left to continue his legacy. From his children, in-laws and grandchildren: "Dad / Grandpa, you are a faith filled man who loved God, your family and the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers unconditionally. We will always remember you for your sense of humor, your love of card games (especially Sheepshead), your endless hours of working on puzzles, and your so-so golf game. You demonstrated a tough work ethic, along with a love for travel, exploration and meeting new people. We will miss your easy-going spirit, your laughter, your dancing and your ability to always “pick” on a not-so-great hand of cards. Love you and miss you from down here, but will see you in Eternity someday." A future memorial service in Fairfield Glade is planned. Arrangements by the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, Zanesville, OH, www.BryanHardwickFuneralHome.com.
