Feb. 13, 1937—May 25, 2015 Richard Dale Lane, 78, of Crossville, passed away May 25, 2015, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville. He was born Feb. 13, 1937 in Scottsville, KY, son of the late Jesse Alton and Lillie Mae (Holland) Lane. He retired from the United States Army as a Major and proudly served during Vietnam. He also was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Lane of Crossville; daughter, Angie Janow (Joey) of Crossville; son, Richard Alan Lane (Carmella) of Florida; son, Terry Dale Lane of Crossville; brothers; Leland Morris Lane and Donald Lane of Kentucky and Harold Gene Lane of Florida; and sisters Joyce White and Fern Brownfield of Kentucky. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph B. Lane. Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at 3 p.m. with Bro. Arlon Way officiating. Interment was in Green Acres Memory Gardens with full military honors by the Chattanooga Military Honor Guard. Pallbearers were Caleb Brownfield, James Hammond, David Goodin, Tyler Janow, Brandon Lane and Steve Lane. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
