Paula Shanks Myers was born July 10, 1963, and peacefully left this world on March 23, 2017.
She was also known as Lala, Paw-Paw, Lollipop, Mom and Ragdoll to those closest to her. She was a wife, sister, daughter, mom, grandmother and best friend. She was the epitome of selflessness. Her final days were spent comforting family members and reassuring them in ways that sowed peace and hope in their hearts. Her battle with cancer was fought with grace, courage and dignity; her faith never faltered. Her light shone brighter in the darkest hours of her life and all those she touched are better because of the beautiful, compassionate, encouraging, selfless person she was.
She is survived by her husband Scott Myers; two children, Luke Myers (Alexis) and Lynsey Crawford (Chad); grandson, Graham Myers; mother, Doris Shanks; brothers, Scot Shanks and Kirk Shanks; sister, Lainie Luse; and her many loving aunts, uncle and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Shanks.
To honor her memory, you may make donations to the Linary Church of Christ Building Fund or FOCCAS (Focus on Cumberland County Animal Shelter) at www.foccas-tn.org.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
