Patti Galan, born Aug. 19, 1937, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 26, 2016.
Family and friends will always remember her selflessness and loving care for others. She loved entertaining and opening her home to others. The expression in others delight was her delight. She was a selfless person who always put others first, even in her last days. Patti enjoyed the outdoors and working with her husband. One of her favorite things was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren who gave her so much joy. She loved reading the Bible. She canned, cooked and had people over to their home whenever they could. She loved volunteering and serving at her church and visiting the nursing homes. She loved sharing the Gospel with people. She would constantly show others the beauty in the little things around her — the little flowers, beautiful fall leaves, sunsets, etc. She was an optimist and always reminded us of our blessings and how good God is.
Patti was preceded in death by her father, Cleo Morris; mother, Edna Shelton; daughter, Anjanette Galan; and brother, and Joe Morris.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Galan; sons, Michael(Kristen) Cone of Waterford, MI, Mark (Shelly) Cone, of Grand Rapids, MI, and Julian (Sue) Galan, of Crossville, TN; sister, Syble (Richard) Miller; brother, Dillard (Ellaine) Morris; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Patti's visitation was held Friday, Dec. 30, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with the funeral service held Saturday, Dec. 31, at Central Baptist Church.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
