Patricia (Pat)'s Story
Patricia (Pat) Ann Peterson, 82, quietly departed this life on Oct. 24, 2016, in Fairfield Glade, TN. A celebration of life will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at 10 a.m. with Fr. Albert Sescon officiating. Daughter of the late William and Gladys Beaumier, Pat was born on Oct. 29, 1933, in Green Bay, WI. She married the love of her life, Lawrence Frederick Peterson on June 19, 1954. Their marriage of 57 years was blessed with six children. Larry preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 2012. Her daughter Kathleen passed away in October 2010 and her grandson Timothy in August 2012. She is also preceded in death by sisters Laurette, Carol, Betty and brother Lou.
Pat's beautiful life will forever be cherished through the lives of her children, Stephan (Jenifer), Michael (Deborah), Eileen Maloney (Dave), John (Molly) and Joellyn Rustad (Dean); 13 grandchildren and their spouses; 11 great grandchildren; sister. JoAnne Strojny (Ralph); and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends both old and new.
Pat enjoyed many creative passions over the years including sewing, knitting, painting ceramics and baking. She regularly spoiled family and friends with delectable baked goods and candy confections. Many popular family recipes were committed to memory and often requested such as her famous brownies. During the holidays, Pat was known to repeatedly sample sweets from every candy dish in the house (and there were many) as she went about her day. Pat's compassion for others shone through the hundreds of hats, scarves and mittens she knit for those in need as well as countless hours spent volunteering at Habitat for Humanity. A devout Catholic, faith was the cornerstone of Pat's life. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, Pat was loved by many and will be sorely missed.
