Michael Allen Blackburn, 65, of Crossville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, at Blue Ridge Morganton Hospital in Morganton, NC.
Michael was born Jan. 19, 1951, in Alexandria, VA, son of the late L.D. Blackburn and Mabel (Allen) Blackburn. He worked as a truck driver for Waldo Stone Trucking for 20 years and will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Willa Dean "Peanut" Blackburn, Crossville; son, Johnny (Tammy) Matthews, Crossville; daughters, Lisa (Andy Hood) Rollins, Bobbie Ann (Daniel) Shockley and Traci Blackburn; and sisters, Peggy Roberts, Barbara Parsons, Pat Fritz and Linda Potter. Michael is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, L.D. Blackburn; mother, Mabel (Allen) Blackburn; father-in-law, Richard Dyle; and mother-in-law, Johnnie Dyle.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Terry Swaw officiating. Interment in Potters Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Johnny Matthews, Michael Dyle, Daniel Shockley, Jake Abston, Randy Waldo and Chris Gornik.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
