May 20, 1932—March 8, 2016. Merrie Devere “Dee” (Keller) Cobb, 83, of Fairfield Glade, TN, passed away on March 8, 2016. Merrie was born on May 20, 1932, in Mt. Pleasant, MI, to Roy and Mary “Ollie” Keller. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. She then married the love of her life, William “Bill” C. Cobb, in 1951. They resided in Clare, MI; Kentucky; Indiana; Saudi Arabia; and The Woodlands, TX. She moved to Fairfield Glade from The Woodlands, TX, in 2003. Merrie loved the outdoors and her home in the Glade with her pups, KC and Baby, where she was surrounded by many loving neighbors and friends. Her family also loved visiting her there where they often celebrated their time together with her wonderful cooking and drives through the countryside. She will always be remembered with much love for her beautiful spirit, energy and loving ways. Surviving family are her two sons, Ronald Eugene, Lake Isabella, MI, and Kevin James (Sarah), Magnolia, TX; daughter, Karen Sue, Magnolia, TX; grandchildren, Kyle Ryan and Kalyn (Justin) McQuain, The Woodlands, TX; three great grandchildren, Kyle’s daughter Emma, and Kalyn’s daughters, Presley and Hadyn; sister, Deonna Gillentine, Nashville, TN; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Cobb, Houghton Lake, MI. She also has six surviving nieces and three nephews. Merrie was predeceased by her parents; husband; brother, Roy “Spike” Keller; sister-in-law, Phyllis; and brother-in-law, Donald Cobb. Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016, in Crossville, TN and at a later date in Michigan.
