March 26, 1918—Dec. 5, 2015 Margaret Jane Wells, 97, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 5, 2015. She was born March 26, 1918, in Redmon, IL, the daughter of Andrew J. and Rosa G. Lamb Barr. In 1935 she married Harley Wells in Paris, IL. She lived in St. Petersburg, FL, from 1949 to 2005 and spent two years in Nokomis, FL, before retiring to Crossville in 2007. She worked several years as a waitress and beautician and the later years as a caregiver. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Dalton of Crossville; grandchildren, Julie Lasswell and her husband Jim of Mulberry, FL, J. Arlene Coleman of Venice, FL and Lawrence W. Dalton and his wife Brenda of Rotunda West, FL; great grandchildren, Erin Coleman, Elizabeth Dalton, Jessica Dalton, Brandon Kennedy and Jordan Lasswell; and siblings, Mildred Barr Bandy, Helen Barr Lang, Maybelle Barr Lang and Wayne Barr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harley; great grandson, Travis Lasswell; and an infant sister. Memorial services will be held Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at 4 p.m. from the Chapel of Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at Hood Funeral Home. The Rev. Monica Mowdy will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Cumberland County.
