Margaret Ann (Lott) Muenstermann, 87, (known as Peggy to all) passed from this life into the arms of God on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. She was the seventh of the eight children of the late Margaret and Fred Wilbur Lott of Avon Lake, OH. She is survived by her younger sister, Nancy Henry of Mungeli, Chattisgarh, India; her loving husband of 63 years, the Rev. Herbert Muenstermann; and her three children, Paula Margaret Liotto, Lee Muenstermann and Rickie Muenstermann.
Her life was one of enduring service to her communities. She was a missionary to Ghana; a city councilperson for Leonia, NJ; a board member for the town of Leonia Public School system; an administrator of United Church of Christ Senior Housing in Downers Grove, IL; and, most recently, a town councilperson in Pleasant Hill, TN, where she and her husband have resided for the last 27 years in the Uplands community. Peggy represented the Pleasant Hill Community Church at the UCC Southeastern Conference annual meetings in Atlanta and elsewhere during her retirement. She loved music, played in the Pleasant Hill ensemble and she volunteered as a teacher of flute to interested students.
A date for the celebration of Peggy's life has yet to be scheduled.
