Margaret's Story

Aug. 1, 1925—May 6, 2015 Margaret Joyce McCauley, 89, of Crossville, passed away May 6, 2015, at Life Care Center. She was born Aug. 1, 1925, in Alderson, WV, daughter of the late Floyd Jackson and Catherine (Smith) Newberry. She worked as a maintenance supervisor for NASA and was a member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church of West Virginia. She is survived by her sons, Calvin Dick (Helen) of North Ridgeville, OH, Jackie Dick (Elizabeth) of Crossville and Ricky Dick (Margaret) of Crossville; daughters, Janice Pelfrey, Joyce Loder and Barbara Serviss (Steve), all of Crossville; brothers, Jack Newberry and Joe Newberry, both of Akron, OH; and sister, Margie Bostick of Akron, OH. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Larry Philliips and James Dick; daughters, Jean Ann Marhefka and Teresa Odell; son-in-law, Buddy Pelfrey; and brothers, Kermit Newberry and Travis Newberry. Funeral services were held at Bible Baptist Church May 9, with Bro. Mike Kerley officiating. Interment was in Haley's Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Shane Dick, Eddie Whitt, James Serviss, A.J. Dick, John Pelfry, Chris Dick and Keith Witt. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
