Lucille W. Sower, 90, passed away peacefully at Cumberland House Hospice in Crossville July 26, 2015. Mrs. Sower was born in Scott County to the late Noble and Bessie (Chitwood) Washam, and resided for 45 years in the Toledo, OH, area before moving to Crossville in 1990. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who had a gentle spirit, a tender heart and loving kindness for all who knew her. She was a current member of Victory Baptist Church, Crossville, and a long-time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Toledo, OH. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sower was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Malcolm Sower, and brother, Charles Washam. She is survived by daughters, Deborah (Dave) Wokaty of Latham, NY, and Diane (Dana) Smoke of Canton, GA; son, David (Rebecca) Sower of Cedar Hill, TN; grandchildren, Madeline Sower, Lauren Smoke, Kelsey Pickering, Emily Smoke, Erin Clemmons, Sarah Wokaty, Hannah Wokaty and Luke Sower; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Howard (Dorothy) Washam. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 30, from noon until 1:45 p.m. EDT at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Oneida. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Pastor James Schoolfield officiating. A committal service will follow at Chitwood Cemetery, Winfield, TN.
