Oct. 19, 1936—Feb. 23, 2016 Leonard "Clyde" Britt, 79, of Crossville, TN, passed away Feb. 23, 2016. He was born Oct. 19, 1936, in Pikeville, TN, the son of Eskiel and Nellie Reece Britt. He was retired after many years from GM as a welder. He was honored to have worked on projects with NASA also. He loved to fish and garden. He was also a huge truck racing fan and was 2014 Track Champion in the truck series. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Britt of Crossville; daughters, Debra Durbin of Fairview, TN, Brenda Shelton and her husband Terry of Lewisburg, TN, Sheere Ann Britt of Huber Heights, OH, and Bridget Ovens and her husband John of Laurel, IN; sister-in-law, Oma Britt of Crossville; honorary son, Tim Kilbarger of Milan, MI; best friend, Jeff Proffitt and his wife Cindy of Crossville; grandchildren, Brandy Ann Durbin, Brandon Durbin, Barbara Gibson, Hannah Jo Shelton, J.J. Britt and Matthew Britt; and great grandchild, Georgia Durbin. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from noon to 3 p.m. before the service at the funeral home. Bro. Scott Johnson and Bro. Jack Daniel will officiate.
