Jan. 10, 1955—Aug. 22, 2015 Johnny Everett Norris, 60, was born Jan. 10, 1955, in Crossville to the late Chester Norris and Lennis Barnwell Norris and passed away Aug. 22, 2015, in Crossville. He worked for the railroad and Manchester Tank. He loved singing, telling jokes and watching television, especially wrestling and the cartoon “Tom and Jerry.” He is survived by his wife, Stacey Gregory Norris; sons, JJ Norris, Michael Blackwell and Chris Blackwell Jr. (Haley); daughters, Tanisha Templeton (Leslie) and Evelyn Blackwell; grandchildren, Jacklyn, Aspen and Bentley; brothers, Bill Potter, Shane Potter and Pete Potter; and sisters, Elizabeth and Glennis. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Claude Norris; and sisters, Della Sullivan, Thelma and Ellen Jones. The family received friends Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 1 p.m., with Bro. Jerry Mayo officiating. Burial will be in Haley’s Grove Cemetery. Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
