July 4, 1942—Sept. 18, 2015 John C. Ferguson of Fairfield Glade, TN, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 18, 2015. He was born on July 4, 1942, in Passaic, NJ, and was raised in Clifton, NJ, where he was a two-time All-State athlete in baseball. John attended East Stroudsburg University, where he received a Bachelor's degree in health sciences in 1964 and Master's degree in 1972. While there, John was on the President's Athletic Council and served as a Senior Class President. He also participated in basketball and baseball. His name can also be found in the 1964 edition of "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities." Upon graduation, John went on to play professional baseball in the Detroit Tigers organization. He taught for five years in the Livingston, NJ, school system and for 26 years taught at Bucks County Community College, where he helped build and direct the college's wellness program. John is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy; sons, Michael Scott and Robert Sean and their wives Marcee Reifinger Ferguson and Karen Lewis Ferguson; grandchildren, Tyler Scott and Emma Lynn Ferguson; sister, Sandra Woods; sister-in-law, Marcia; and brother-in-law, Sandy Formick. John will be buried at the St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA.
