June 5, 1922—Dec. 20, 2015 Jayne Conley Bailey, 93, was born on June 5, 1922, in Cumberland, MD, to the late Herbert and Gayle Alexander Conley. She passed away on Dec. 20, 2015, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. She was a retired school teacher, who resided at Good Samaritans, and was active in the California Teachers Association. Jayne graduated in 1945 with a BA from the University of Mary Washington in Fredricksburg, VA. She was very supportive of everything her boys did in school and the sports teams they were involved in. She loved to travel the around the world and the USA. She was active in the Episcopal Church and Daughters of the King. She was also a supporter of the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and the local little league teams. She is survived by her sons, Bruce, Herb and Mark; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and sister, Corrine Stuart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Gayle Alexander Conley; brother, Herb; daughter in law, Isabella; and one great grandchild. A memorial service for Jayne will be held Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at St. Raphael's Episcopal Church in Crossville, TN, with the Rev. Fred Wilcoxson and Deacon JoAnn Wilcoxson officiating. Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
