July 19, 1927—Jan. 1, 2016 James Dwight Overholser, 88, of Crossville, TN, passed away Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, at his home in Crossville. He was born July 19, 1927, in Saint Paris, OH, son of the late Charles and Ruth (Dobbins) Overholser. Jim worked in civil service as a computer operator at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Esther Overholser of Crossville; sons, Charles Overholser and Dwight Overholser (Cheri), both of Ohio; and daughters, Rebecca Baker (Tim) of Crossville, Mary Hermsdorfer (Rich) of Florida, Barbara Geer (Jeff) of Cookeville, TN, and Kathleen Rose (John) of Ohio. Jim is also survived by many grandchildren and special cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Samuel Overholser. Funeral services were held at First Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Gregory L. Keller officiating. Interment was in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
