Oct. 31, 1928—May 17, 2015 James Edward Boniol, 86, of Crossville, passed away May 17, 2015, at Wharton Nursing Home in Pleasant Hill. He was born Oct. 31, 1928, in Lecompte, LA, son of the late William B. Boniol and Eva Vandever Selby. James proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. After his service, he became a printer for TAP Publishing. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ann Boniol; sons, James S. Boniol Sr. and girlfriend, Kay, Anthony E. Boniol and wife, Susie, and Raymond E. Boniol and wife, Teresa; daughter, Mineva Hayes and husband, Brent, all of Crossville; grandchildren, James S. Boniol Jr. and wife, Nicole, Brent Hayes, Derrick Hayes and wife, Jessica, Samantha Wyatt and husband, Jeremy, Erin Threet and husband, Barry, and Erika Franklin and husband, Elmer; great-grandchildren, Tyler Boniol, Jordan Boniol, Ricky and Damien Dishman, Britney Bright, Ethan Smith, Angel Hayes, Emmy Lou Hayes, Karon Wyatt, Schella Wyatt, Alexus Boniol, Noah Threet, Shea Franklin, Tanzi Burgess, Obie Franklin and Abigail Brown; sister, Wanda Bailey; brothers, Curtis Coco and wife, Shirley, Bennie Boniol and wife, Patsy, Eddie Boniol and family, and Ernest Boniol and family; sisters-in-law, Reba Boniol, Betty Boniol and Doris Shrum and husband, Everett; nephews, Mike Boniol, Ronald Boniol, Philip Boniol, David Coco, John Boniol Jr., Tommy Boniol, Billy Charles Boniol, Glenn Boniol, Orin Boniol, Tyrel Boniol, Randy Shrum, Stoney Stone and Jeff Stone; and nieces, Ester Frensley, Karen Boniol, Paula Boniol, Maryann Boniol, Kim Stone and Sheila Marie Stone. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by brothers, Bill Boniol and John Boniol; sister, Ruth DeVarrio and husband, Nick; and great-grandson, Elijah Hayes. Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home May 20, with Bro. Dewey Peterson officiating. Interment in Davis Cemetery with full military honors by the Cumberland Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers were James S. Boniol Jr., Brently J. Hayes, Derrick Hayes, Jeremy Wyatt, Elmer Franklin, Barry Threet, Tyler Boniol, Randy Shrum and Nick Shrum. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc.
