Hugh Walker Huddleston, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away March 7, 2017.
Hugh was born to Frank and Willie Dimple Huddleston on June 3, 1935. He graduated from Homesteads School and UTK. His family was one of the original Homesteaders. He served in the Army at the Pentagon as a cryptographer and went on to work for Celanese, First Flight Golf, and retired as the CFO of Baylor School. He loved and adored his family, golf, working outdoors, the Vols, and The Baylor School. He also loved his many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Hugh never met a stranger and was a blessing to everyone. He was loved by all and will be forever missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Roy Lee Huddleston.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Moody Huddleston; his daughter, April Huddleston; sisters, Mildred Manning (Bob) of Clinton, Mary Brown of Signal Mountain and Sue Callahan (Dee) of Crossville; brother, Bill (Susan) of Senoia, GA; and sister-in-law, Charlotte Chambers, Knoxville, TN.
Visitation was held March 14 at Hamilton Funeral Home. Funeral services were held March 15 at Hamilton Funeral Home, with Dr. Herbert Barks Jr. and the Rev. Laura Becker officiating.
Burial was in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
The family prefers memorials sent to Sequatchie County Middle School in Dunlap, TN, in lieu of flowers.
