Feb. 23, 2015 Glenn Keith Knobloch, 85, went home to be with the Lord Feb. 23, 2015, after a long illness. He was born in Chicago, IL, in 1929. He served in the National Guard, followed by his entering the U.S. Air Force. After an honorable discharge, he returned to the University of Missouri, where he had a football scholarship. Glenn enjoyed playing golf and racquetball and spending time with good friends. Glenn was always a salesman. After getting many awards for sales, he started his own company in Chicago and was there for several years. After retirement, he purchased a hardware store in Michigan and later moved to Tennessee where he spent many hours in the beautiful waters of Lake Tansi. He purchased and remodeled many houses in Lake Tansi as a hobby and was very happy there. He would have been married 40 years in March and was a wonderful husband. He was a kind and gentle man. Glenn is survived by his wife, Darlene; and son, Eric Knobloch in Chicago; a niece and nephew, Jill and Bob Krischon of Big Rock, IL; a loving stepdaughter, Kathryn Kittel Caldwell; a stepson, David Kittel; and several grandchildren in Michigan. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Knobloch; his mother, Elsie Graham Knobloch; his father, George Knobloch; and his brother, George Knobloch Jr. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
