Aug. 7, 1934—Nov. 30, 2015 Glenn J. Bowman, 81, was born Aug. 7, 1934, to Luther and Laura Bowman in Crossville, and passed away in Pleasant Hill, TN, on Nov. 30, 2015. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Tennessee Department of Highways, and he enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting. He also served as a deacon in the Baptist church for several years. Glenn is survived by his son, Gary Bowman (Connie); daughter, Patricia Geer (James); grandchildren, Nicole Bowman Dabbs (Russell), Matthew Geer (Rebecca), Timothy Geer (Misty) and David Geer; three great grandchildren, Taylor, Rylee and Mia; and sisters-in-law, Leora Bowman, Thelma Bowman and Marty Bowman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther Bowman and Laura Woody Bowman; wife, Lola Elizabeth Bowman; brothers, Edward, Lloyd, Reed, Eugene, John and Goldie Bowman; and sisters, Maxine Norris and Jewel Miller. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Bowman Cemetery. Timothy Geer will officiate. Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
