Funeral services for Gladys Lawson, 83, of the Glade Creek Community, will be conducted on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Bro. Arlon Way will officiate with interment to follow in Glade Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m.
Ms. Lawson was born on Feb. 3, 1934, in White County, TN, to the Late Houston Webb and Notia Jane Baker Roach. She passed away on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, at her home.
Ms. Lawson was a teacher for 27 years with LBJ&C Headstart and a member of Mayland Church of Christ.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Hunter of Sparta, TN, Nadene and Larry Evans of the Glade Creek Community, and Lisa and Primitive Hernandez of the Glade Creek Community; sons and daughters-in-law, Darrel and Michelle Lawson of Crossville and Russ and Michelle Lawson of Monterey, TN; 22 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and brother, Gerald Roach of Cookeville, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Evans; sisters, Lora Mae Simpson, Lillian Harris and Ila Rhea Miller; brothers, Willie Roach and JT Roach; and an infant brother and sister.
D.M. Goff Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
