Georgia B. Locke, 71, of Crossville, passed away Aug. 18, 2016. She was born Oct. 31, 1944, in Morgan County, TN, the daughter of Lonnie G. and Josie Cox Branstetter. She worked many years in the banking industry with several of our local banks in Cumberland County. She was also a member of Isoline Baptist Church for more than 65 years and spent 60 of them playing the piano there. Her home and family was the most important part of her life, especially her grandbabies. She enjoyed gardening and was an excellent cook. She was also a gifted seamstress who loved making clothes for her girls as they grew up.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Van Locke of Crossville; daughters, Melanie Dawn Watson and her husband Jere of Cookeville, TN, and Cynthia Ann Locke of Crossville; and grandchildren, Harmon Locke Wattenbarger and Meredith Grace Wattenbarger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two infant brothers and brother Harvey Branstetter and sisters, Maime Branstetter and Juanita Sevier.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Isoline Baptist Church. Burial was in Crossville City Cemetery. Bro. Robert Lawrence and Bro. Scott White officiated.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
