July 24, 1950—Jan. 28, 2015 Gary Campbell was born July 24, 1950, to William Wesley (Poppa) and Ruth Castle Campbell in Dayton, OH, and he passed away unexpectedly Jan. 28, 2015, at the age of 64. Known mostly by the nickname "Tiny," most acquaintances never knew his given name was Gary. His sisters affectionately called him "Bro." He was a cement contractor and worked with his father, Wes, most of his life. He was an avid Mopar and football fan, along with a love of gardening. He was blessed with a green thumb. He was a friend to many and had an extremely close relationship with his oldest son, Jason, and long-time friend Scott Golden, who was like another son. He is survived by his sons, Jason Campbell of Crossville and Eric Campbell of Ohio; three granddaughters in Ohio; father, Wes Campbell of Crossville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Bill Koch and Debbie and Billy Frazier of Crossville; sister, Pat Ball of Cookeville; nephews, Wes and Jesse Wyrick of Knoxville; niece, Amy Cowan of Cookeville; great-nephews, Tristan Helton and Conner Merricks; great-niece, Ida Mae Wyrick; ex-wife, Connie Campbell, and many other step-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Castle Campbell; nephew, Joshua Ball; and great-nephew, Nathaniel. A memorial service was held at Harmony Baptist Church Jan. 31.
