He was a hall principal at Niles North High School and principal of St. Charles High School from 1968 to 1972. He served as assistant superintendent of Ridgewood High School District 234, in Norridge, IL, retiring from there in 1988 after 16 years of service.
Fred was an avid golfer and he and his wife, Doris, retired to Crossville, TN, to enjoy the beautiful golfing and retirement community. They moved to Wisconsin late in 2015 to be near their grandchildren.
