Dec. 16, 1929―April 1, 2015 Frances C. Hale, 85, of Crossville, passed away April 1, 2015. She was born Dec. 16, 1929 in Bledsoe County, the daughter of Bobby and Eliza Edmonds Curtis. She was a homemaker and a member of Crossville Church of God of Prophecy. She is survived by her sons, Wayne Hale and his wife, Rita, of Crossville, Donald Hale and his wife, Andrea, of Crossville, Dexter Hale and his wife, Reda, of Pikeville and Merrill Hale of Knoxville; daughter, Sharon Hale of Crossville; brothers, James Curtis and his wife, Fern, of Athens, Wilburn Curtis and his wife, Sally, of Crossville and Coplin “Wendell” Curtis and his wife, Sandra, of Nashville; sisters, Kathleen Creason and Margaret Isham, both of Crossville; grandchildren, Vicki Yates, Allen Hale, Bobby Hale, Kristi Shockley, David Hale, Amanda Weber and Bethany Hale; 11 great grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Hale Jr., and sisters, Wanda Forsythe and Christine Cole. Funeral services were held April 4 from the Chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Bro. Eddie Kilgore, Bro. E.C. McKinley and Sister Londa Richardson officiated. Special music was by Alisha Lawson, Donna Smith and Brenda McDonald. Burial was in Crossville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Vicki Yates, Kristy Shockley, Amanda Weber, Allen Hale, Bobby Hale and David Hale. Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
