June 23, 1925—Feb. 2, 2016 Floy Verta Blaylock, 90, of Crossville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at Life Care Center of Crossville. She was born June 23, 1925, in Buffalo Cove, TN, the daughter of the late Clarence Atkinson and Pearl (Beaty) Atkinson. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Woodlawn United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Trace Blaylock (Alison) of Massachusetts; daughter, Angela Snyder of California; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Atkinson and Thelma Jean Atkinson; six grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jay W. Blaylock; granddaughter, Tessa Whittenburg; brothers, Charles Atkinson, Chester Atkinson and Eugene Atkinson; and sisters, Justine Stowers, Genieve Hannahan, Clella LaRue and Lounell Williams. Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ron Dyer officiating. Interment was in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Ken Ferguson, Nathan Blaylock, Ryan Molthen, Larry Hannah Jr., Larry Hannah Sr. and Jake Gauter. Honorary pallbearers were Dean Waters and Clinton Moles. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc.
