May 20, 1922—May 22, 2015 Eula Leslie Swallows, 93, passed away May 22, 2015, in Rochester Hills, MI. Eula was born May 20, 1922 in Fentress County, TN. She lived most of her early life in Jamestown, TN, and worked at the Jamestown Shirt Factory for many years. She loved cooking, quilting and gardening. After her home in Jamestown was destroyed by a tornado in 1974, she moved to Crossville, where she lived until 2001. Eula was an active member of Memorial Baptist Church in Crossville. In 2001, Eula moved to Rochester Hills, MI, to be near family. Eula is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Mary Jane Leslie; sister, Bonnie Bowman of Jamestown; and brother, Arlando (Jeff) Threet and wife, Jean, of Jamestown. Eula was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas B. Leslie; second husband, Carson Swallows; parents, Landon and Alva Threet; brothers, Curtis Threet and Burtis Threet; and sister, Rose Wood. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, May 29, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services to follow at 1 p.m., with Bro. Bill Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Crossville City Cemetery. Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
