Dorothy's Story

July 2, 2015 Dorothy E. (Clark) Meharg, 77, of the Masonic Home, Springfield, OH, passed away after a lingering illness on July 2, 2015. A graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA, she attended Maiden Lane Church of God in Springfield. She was an elementary school teacher in Maryland and with U.S. Forces Europe. After raising two wonderful children, she retired to Fairfield Glade where she enjoyed playing bridge and was president of Women's Fellowship and played in the Handbell Choir at the Community Church. Her niche was planning travel to every U.S. state, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and cruises. Dorothy and her husband of over 50 years resided in Fairfield Glade, for 15 years prior to their move to Springfield. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Arthur; daughter, Melinda (Jeff) of Canterbury, NH; son, Glen (Christine) of Tacoma, WA; and four beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Clark, and parents, Oliver and Edith Clark. There will be no visitation or memorial service.
