Jan. 22, 1952—Jan. 17, 2015 Dewayne Cole, 62, of Crossville, was called home to be with the Lord and Savior Jan. 17, 2015, after a brave struggle with ALS (commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease). He was born Jan. 22, 1952, in Crossville, the son of L.M. Jr. and Jimmie Faye Russell Cole. He was a truck driver by profession and said he liked seeing the country. He worked at Kerry Inc. in Mayland, TN, for 29 years, where he appreciated and loved all his friends and co-workers. He is survived by his his loving wife of 43 years, Angie Cole of Crossville; sons, the joy of his life, Chris Cole and his wife, Donna Jo, and Randy Cole, all of Crossville; and amazing grandchildren whom he loved to distraction, Ethan, Owen and Levi. He loved spending time with them when he was home, working and piddling in the garage. He also leaves his loving mother, Jimmie Faye Cole of Crossville; brothers, Larry Cole and his wife, Vickie, of Carthage, TN, Mike Cole and his wife, Glenda, of Lebanon, TN, and his favorite little brother, Greg Cole of Crossville; special sister, Cindy Proffitt and her husband, Jeff Proffitt, whom he loved as a true brother, also of Crossville; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was a hard working man and a wonderful provider, loving and helpful to everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family, and his brothers and sisters at Church of the Rock. At his request, no services are planned.
