Jan. 13, 1943—Oct. 29, 2015 David Lee Culbertson, 72, was born on Jan. 13, 1943, in Austin, TX, to the late Carlos and Mary Coyle Culbertson and passed away on Oct. 29, 2015, in Cookeville, TN. He was an underwater technician for the NUWC and in his younger years served our country in the United States Navy in Vietnam. He enjoyed acting in plays at his local VFWs, photography and bowling. David loved dogs and did obedience training and dog shows. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anna Pollio Culbertson; daughter, Kimberly England (Donald); grandchildren, Brandon Russell, Sarah Dawn England and Mary Louise England; great grandchildren, Cloi Lynn Russell, Sophia Izzy Russell and Tylor Russell; brothers, Mike and Daryl Culbertson; sisters, Nancy Gray, Patti Fahs, Susan Kenny and Becky Franklin; his dogs, Snoopy, Scarlett and Sassy; and cat, Socks. A funeral service was held for him at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015. He will be laid to rest in New London, CT. Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
