Darrell "Redbone"'s Story
Funeral services for Darrell Dewayne "Redbone" Farley, 51, of Crossville, will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Bro. Richie Farley officiating. Interment will follow in the Bohannon Cemetery in the Calfkiller community.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 17, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Presley Funeral Home.
Mr. Farley passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, at Signature Healthcare of Putnam County in Algood, TN, following an extended illness as a result of a motor vehicle accident he was involved in seven years ago.
He was born Sunday, June 13, 1965, in Monterey, TN, to the late George Washington Farley and Cora Ida Harris Farley.
"Redbone" worked for several years as a welder at Certified Cylinder in Crossville. Until his accident, he attended Full Gospel Assembly Church in Sand Springs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Farley, and two sisters, Treva Ann Dietz and Georgia Ann Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Jewell Lynn Brendel Farley; two children, Cherie Reid and Daniel Farley, both of Crossville; four grandchildren, Ryan Joseph King-Reid, Katlyn Michelle Reid, Jimmy Sherrill and Jacklyn Hood; three sisters, Frances Farley of Clarksville, Darlene (Larry) German of Jackson County, TN, and Betty Jo (Andy) Oakley of Cookeville; and two brothers, Scottie (Debbie) Farley of Crossville, and Richard (Pam) Farley, of Monterey, TN.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
