Cora Ellen Henry, 90, of Crab Orchard, TN, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017, at Cumberland House in Crossville.
She was born Sept. 13, 1926, in Tallahassee, FL, the daughter of the late Willie Davenport and Verdie Eva (Humphrey) Davenport. Cora was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
She is survived by her husband, Harley Henry of Crossville; children, Ellen Monday, Mildred Gentry, Lennis Redwine, Meady Swallows, Donnie Maynard (Glenda), Connie Sink (Doug), Libby Young (Charles) and Frances Atkins, all of Crossville; sisters, Inez Human and Frances Garrett, both of Crossville; and brothers, Tommy Davenport, Glenn Davenport, Denton Davenport, Lowell Davenport, Dee Davenport and J.E. Davenport, all of Crossville. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Cora is preceded in death by her third husband, Virgil Farley; second husband, Thomas Harness; first husband, Cordell Maynard; sisters, Evelyn Patterson, Rachel Brown, Jewell Sherrill, Waneva Davenport and Lennis Davenport; brothers, Eugene Davenport and Preston Davenport; and sons-in-law, Gary Gentry, Leonard Swallows, Bobby Monday and Lavon Redwine. She is also preceded by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 11, at 10 a.m. with Bro. Robert Shook officiating. Interment was in Haley's Grove Cemetery.
