Clyde James "Jim" Dunigan, beloved husband and educator, passed away June 20, 2016.
Arising from humble beginnings, Jim dedicated his life to education. Following his Naval service, he received five degrees and taught in innumerable classrooms at secondary and post-secondary levels, most recently at Roane State Community College.
Jim served in the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Army Reserve and the Crossville Police Department Reserve. He was active in multiple civic groups, community organizations and his church, holding varied offices. Jim enjoyed international travel, which was often academically oriented. He was an avid runner, bicyclist and swimmer.
Jim will be missed by his Flory, devoted wife of 30 years; children, Florie Coggins, Danny Bustamante (wife Kristi) and David Bustamante (wife Sylvia); and grandchildren, Will, Henry and Andrew Coggins, Erika Withers (husband Robert), Carolina and Ricky Bustamante, and Anna and Julia Bustamante. Jim has one brother, Robert (wife Sherrie).
A memorial service is planned for Friday, July 1, at 2 p.m. at Roane State Community College in Crossville.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to Saint Raphaels Episcopal Church or Roane State Community College Foundation.
