Christy Marlow Viens, 43, of Hixson, TN, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at her home. She was born March 17, 1974, in Crossville.
Christy was a 1992 graduate of Cumberland County High School and received her Bachelor's Degree from Tennessee Tech University in 1997.
She and her husband Todd Michael married April 21, 2001.
She volunteered for many years at Chattanooga Christian School where her children attend. She was a member of American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" and participated with First Things First. She was a member of Dallas Bay Church.
Her grandfathers, Carlos Wilson and Aaron Marlow, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Todd Michael Viens; two children, Katelin Viens and Andersen Viens, all of Hixson; her parents, George & Brenda Marlow of Crossville; mother & father-in-law, David & Betty Viens of Ooltewah; two sisters and their husbands, Amanda & Aaron Elmore of Crossville and Kelly & Michael Hunt of Chattanooga; brother-in-law, Jeff Viens of Ringgold; grandmothers, Joan Marlow and Billie Jean Wilson of Crossville and Eleanore Hardell of Ooltewah; her nephew and niece, Bryce and Candace Elmore of Crossville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family received friends on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at Dallas Bay Church from noon to 2 p.m. Funeral services began at 2 p.m. with Dr. David McNabb officiating. Interment followed at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made in Christy's memory to "529 Fbo Katelin or Andersen Viens College Fund" and mailed to 1200 Market St., Chattanooga, TN 37402. The family will be making a gift to the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" in her memory.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist in Hixson.
