June 7, 1944—Jan. 2, 2016 Christine Eveline Townsley, 71, of Crossville, TN, graduated to Heaven early on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at Cumberland House Hospice in Crossville. She was born June 7, 1944, in London, England. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice (Brassell) Hayes. Christine came to the United States as a nanny in 1965. She loved children. She also loved tending to her flower gardens. She received her American citizenship in 1996. She retired from Stone Memorial High School and attended the Bible Missionary Church in Crossville. Christine loved spending time with her family and her many friends. Christine is survived by her husband of 49 years, James Townsley; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Julie Townsley of Cookeville, TN; and her granddaughter, Emily Townsley, also of Cookeville. In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her brother, Gordon Hayes of Cheshunt Herts, England. Arrangements for Christine are as follows: the family received friends on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bilbrey Funeral Home in Crossville. The funeral service is to be Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at 10 a.m. with Bro. Dewey Walker and Bro. Earl Newton officiating. Pallbearers will be Charlie Curtiss, Donnie Daniels, Jim Kimbrell, Mose Miller, Robert Nuchols and John Reeves. Interment in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc.
