Sept. 22, 1953—March 7, 2015 Carolyn Ruth Owens, 61, of Crossville, passed away March 7, 2015, at her home. She was born Sept. 22, 1953, in Smyrna Mills, ME, daughter of the late Clyde and Marian (Mitchell) Manning. Carolyn owned Cumberland Printer with her husband, Dallas. She also served in the United States Air Force and was a celebrated member of the community. She is survived by her husband, Dallas Owens of Crossville; children, Melody Overholt of Pensacola, FL, Eddie Nobles of Sparta, Gabe Nobles of Crossville and Jamie Nobles of Crossville; brothers, Brian and Bruce Manning, both of Crossville; sisters, Rita Hodge of Bali, Indonesia, and Sharon Brock of Oregon; and grandchildren, Eddie, Alex, Stevie, Shane, Lacie, Josh, Brayden, Lily and Mickie. Along with her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Shane Bohannon, and brother, Denny Manning. Pallbearers included Alex Norris; Jim and Matt Cunningham; Shane, Steven, Eddie and Gabe Nobles; and J.R., Justin and Chad Manning Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home March 9, with Elder David Knapp officiating. Interment was in Claysville Cemetery. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
