Dec. 1, 1941—March 4, 2015 Cyril Brian Lawrence, 73, of Crossville, passed away March 4, 2015, at Shelby County Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. He was born Dec. 1, 1941, in Toronto, Canada, son of the late Cyril Charles Lawrence and Audrey Alice Reed Lawrence. Brian was an employee of Nortel, where he worked for 34 years. During his career, he traveled extensively and worked in the United States, Canada and Asia. During his 16 years of retirement he enjoyed golf with the Sharp Shooters and Odd Couples. He was a member of Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. He was loved and will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Lynda Lawrence of Crossville; son, Tony Lawrence and wife, Amy, of Paris, TN; daughter, Laura Brown of Martin, TN; grandchildren, Georgia Brown, Boone Brown, Hunter Lawrence and Fisher Lawrence; and sister, Cathy Cameron and husband, Greg, of Ontario, Canada. Brian was preceded in death by parents, Cyril and Audrey (Reed) Lawrence of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, and son-in-law, Brian Brown of Crossville. Memorial services will be held Sunday, March 15, at 3 p.m. at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jay Archer and the Rev. Moses Haan officiating.
