Sept. 17, 1933—Oct. 19, 2015 Bobbie Jean (Elmore) Keck, of Crossville, and member of Dorton Baptist Church, was born Sept. 17, 1933, and passed on Oct. 19, 2015. Sixty years ago – Sept. 3, 1955 – she married the love of her life, Howard Keck. Although she lost him at the age of 59 in 1992, she never stopped loving him and now she has gone to join him. She was also preceded in death by her father, Casto Elmore; mother, Lillian Elmore; brother, Bud Elmore; and sister, Ruthie Elmore Matthews. Mrs. Keck is survived by her children, Tony and Peggy, Kenny and Kathy, Randy and Abbie, Ronnie, Jackie and Kay, and Teresa; her sisters, Patsy Keck, Mary Griffin and June Elmore; 12 grandchildren, Kristine Carroll, Kayla Varney, Kevin Keck, Whitney Cole, Cammie Henry, Aaron Keck, Kelli Keck, Lori Keck, Kyle Keck, Cole Stickler, Troy Stickler, and Luke Matthews; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Bobbie was considered a mother figure to many throughout the years. Although she enjoyed working most of her life, her greatest enjoyment were her grandchildren and those who called her grandma, making pallets on the floor for sleepovers, cooking endless meals and never missing family members' ballgames. Another one of her great pleasures included the cross country trips with her sisters and nieces. She will be missed by all. Graveside services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at Baker's Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Glen Franklin officiating. Music was by Wanda Reed. Pallbearers were Kevin Keck, Aaron Keck, Kyle Keck, Cole Stickler, Troy Stickler and Luke Matthews. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
