Betty Jean Tumlin, 85, passed away on June 23, 2017, in Crossville. The immediate family will hold a private memorial service in accordance with Mrs. Tumlin's final wishes. Born in Russiaville, IN, on Feb. 27, 1932, Betty Jean was born to Opal and Leslie Randall. She attended high school at Western High School and graduated in 1950. Having graduated, she went to work at the Delco Radio Factory in Kokomo, IN. She met Jack Possman, married, had three children and moved to South Bend, IN.
Throughout her life, Mrs. Tumlin had resided in Indiana, Wisconsin, California, Florida, Arizona and Georgia. She had resided at the Wyndridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Crossville for several years. While living in Sun Lakes, AZ, with her husband William L. Tumlin, she was involved in raising money for student scholarships. She enjoyed traveling, painting, crafts, reading, cooking, collecting art, home decorating and hiking.
Betty Jean was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Tumlin; grandson, Patrick Cooper; and parents, Opal and Leslie Randall.
Betty Jean is survived by her children, Gregory Allen Possman (Sandie), Richard Ray Possman, (Brenda) and Lee Ann Mason (Richard), as well as her sisters, Barbara Smokes and Virginia Klein. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Wyndridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, the Richard Ray Possman Family and the William L. Tumlin Family for all they've done for Betty Jean over the years.
