Betty Ann's Story
Betty Ann Patton Ferrell, 82, formerly of Crossville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, at her daughter's home in Sylvania, OH.
Betty was born Nov. 6, 1933, in Crossville to Ridley and Myrtle (Quarles) Patton. She lived in Greenwood, IN, and worked for Greenwood City Schools, as well as the Greenwood Police Department. She also took on the role as a house mom for students attending the University of Indianapolis.
Betty was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption. Betty thoroughly enjoyed all the domestic duties that come with being a homemaker, including cooking and baking, and she devoted her time to taking care of her grandchildren and grandbabies.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Chester (Sheryl) Ferrell and Portia (Karl) Beer; grandchildren, Tony (Sarah) Ferrell, Emily Ferrell, Kyle Beer, Erica (Ben) Eisel, Katie (August) Allendorf, Kelly (Jason) Kaiser, Joey Beer and Jacob Beer; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Pearl Morgan; and sisters-in-law, Glenna Patton Cady, Faye Patton and Nancy Patton; as well as a host of family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Betty is now reunited with her husband, William Ferrell, and brothers, Fred, Bill, Richard and Jerry Patton.
Services were held at Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora, OH, followed by a Mass of Resurrection at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
