Nov. 28, 1927—Aug. 20, 2015 Alice Evona Pugh, 87, of Crossville, passed away Aug. 20, 2015, at Cumberland House in Crossville. She was born Nov. 28, 1927, in Crossville, the daughter of the late of Elmo Carr and Dora (Lewis) Carr. She worked in laundry at Cumberland Medical Center and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her daughter, Helen Cobble of Crossville; sons, Dewayne Pugh (Pat) and Daris Pugh (Pu Cha), both of Alabama; and sisters, Bonnie Allred of Crossville, Lottie Davis of Ohio and Grace Garrison of Florida. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Pugh; brothers, Dallas Carr, Bill Carr, Melvin Carr, Jimmy Carr, Alfred Carr and Daniel Carr; and sisters, Dovie Hughes and Mary Hall. Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home Aug. 22, with Bro. Mike Jones and Bro. Junior Pugh officiating. Interment was in Pugh Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Carr, Michael Pugh, Charles Pugh, Chuck Allred Jr., Rex Carr, Melvin Carr and Josh Cook. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
