Virginia (Ginny) B. Adams, 83, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Nov. 10, 2017, at the Hospice Cumberland House in Crossville after a long illness.
Ginny was born Sept. 18, 1934, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA, to William and Margaret Bozarth. She graduated from Lewiston High School in Idaho and Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Spokane where she received the certification of a registered nurse.
She married Herbert R. Adams on Oct. 22, 1955, and gave birth to four children, Barbara J. Owens of Canton, MS, Debra A. Adams (deceased), Craig T. Adams of Maple Valley, WA, and Mark R. Adams of North Canton, OH.
As a nurse, she had worked in surgery, home health and as a hospital auditor for Medicare besides being a loving mother and partner to her husband.
She was an avid tennis player, a lines judge for the infant version of the U.S. Open and very involved locally in golf and bridge.
A Funeral Mass is planned for Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. at Fairfield Glade's St. Francis Catholic Church, with interment next spring at a family cemetery plot in Rockford, WA.
Hood Funeral Home is coordinating the arrangements.
