Stanley Elmo Hedgecoth was born June 20, 1931, to John Adam and Annie Kerley Hedgecoth. Stanley passed away at the age of 86 on Sept. 26, 2017, at Life Care Center of Crossville.
Stanley was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Camilla Griffin Hedgecoth.
He is survived by his children, son, Frankie Hedgecoth (Reneé) of Pleasant Hill; daughters, Shelia Hargis (Odell), Brenda Tollett (Tim) and Peggy Brown (Les), all of Crossville, and Darlene Mullins of Oliver Springs, TN; grandchildren, Dale Hargis (Tosha) of Crossville, John Hargis (Anna) of Rocky Top, TN, Stephen Hargis (Brandie), Camille Oliver (Corey), Sam Tollett (Jill), Amber Tollett, Shaun Brown (Shaunda) and Melissa Brown, all of Crossville, Stacy Quinn of Cookeville and Misty Vinson of Oliver Springs; 23 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; brother, Doug Hedgecoth (Helen); sister, Alma Griffin of Crossville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Annie Kerley Hedgecoth; brothers, John Jr. and Ernest Hedgecoth; and sisters, Irene and Barbara Hedgecoth and Cora Hall.
Family will receive friends on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, from noon to 1 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service for Stanley will also be held on Friday at 1. He will be laid to rest in Crossville City Cemetery.
