Robert's Story

April 10, 2015 Robert M. Calabrese, formerly of Crossville, died April 10, 2015. Bob retired from Pontiac Motors, Pontiac, MI, at the age of 47 and proudly served his country for 29 years in the United States Army. He served during the Gulf War (earning a Bronze Star), peace keeping mission in Macedonia, and in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Crossville and New Bern, NC. He was active with the Hispanic community in Crossville. He is survived by his wife, Betty A. Calabrese, married 49 years of wedded bliss; sons, Robert M. Calabrese Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Tennessee, Deacon Wally Calabrese and wife, Amy, of Havelock, NC, and Gregory A. Calabrese and wife, Debbie, of Tennessee; brothers, Daniel and James; sister, Donna; seven grandchildren, Lori and husband, Thomas, Leeza, Alex, Jacob, Jessica and Joseph; five step-grandchildren, Jessica, John, Ashlan, Madison and Sarah; and one great-grandchild, Gabriella. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Elizabeth. The memorial mass will be celebrated May 21 at 11 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 151 St. Alphonsus Way, Crossville TN. Arrangements are by Cotten Funeral Home and Crematory.
