Regina O. Williams Regina Ora Williams, 81, of Crossville, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, at Wyndridge Health & Rehab Center.
Regina married the love of her life, Myron E. Williams, on August 4, 1957. They were married nearly 59 years. She was a homemaker. She actively fought for her son's educational rights, leaving her mark on the state of New York. She learned that she loved to paint plasterware and ceramics. She became quite the artist. While living the Triple Cities area of New York State, she purchased a plasterware and ceramics store which she ran for many years. She loved to work with children, having spent many years teaching Sunday school and working with Vacation Bible School.
Regina and her husband retired to Crossville in August 1999. She was active at Claysville United Methodist Church for many years. She was a tutor for first-grade children for 13 years, first at Crossville Elementary and then at Brown Elementary. Loving on these kids and helping them learn brought her much joy. She volunteered with American Red Cross for many years. She was also a member of Art Circle Women's Club and the Visually Impaired Support Group. She enjoyed spending time with her family, stamping, card making, painting, plasterware/ceramics and attending sing-ins.
Regina is survived by her children and their spouses, Teri and Bruce Wolff (Apalachin, NY), Shelia and Mike Hill (Crossville), and Doug and Christine Williams (Pottstown, PA); one grandson, Brian Wolff (Austin, TX); a brother-in-law, Jim Mitchell (Tucson, AZ); and sister-in-law, Mary Wheeldon (Marion, IN). She is also survived by several cousins, nephews, nieces, their children and grandchildren. She also leaves behind her faithful dog, Lucy, with whom she spent many hours.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron E. Williams; her parents, Ora and Mildred Wheeldon; her grandson, Michael Wolff; sisters, Norma Wood and Celina Williams; brother, Jack Wheeldon; and her sister-in-law, Myrna Mitchell.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on April 6 at Claysville United Methodist Church in Crossville. Donations to Claysville United Methodist Church will be appreciated.
