Nina Ruth Miller, 84, of Crossville, passed away at her home surrounded by family on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018.
She was born Aug. 30, 1933, in Knoxville, TN, daughter of the late Walter Marion Bailey and Mary Della (Hamilton) Bailey.
She was an honor student all through high school, and she was a part of the last graduating class of Knoxville High School in 1951. Nina and her husband, Roy Lee Miller, served 61 years in ministry together. She also worked as a legal secretary and was a member of the Lantana Road Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Nina is survived by his children, Marian (Barry) Holtcamp, Crossville, Kimberly (Scott) Afong, Oak Ridge, TN, Timothy (Virginia) Miller, Mahwah, NJ, and David (Robin) Miller, Eldersburg, MD; grandchildren, Melissa Robinson, Brittany Shassere, Shelby Burnett, Meagan Holtcamp and Sebastian Miller; and great-grandchildren, Sierria Robinson, Mikayla Robinson, Bryce Woods, Hadley Holtcamp and Owen Shassere.
In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by her siblings, John Bailey, George Bailey, Marie Lyons, Estelle Fletcher, Della Mae Klepper, Ruby Ruff and Mary Lou Price.
The family would like to thank the wonderful people at Avalon Hospice Care for their compassionate and tender care of Nina during her final days.
Funeral services were held at Lantana Road Baptist Church on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at 7 p.m. CST with Bro. Scott Johnson officiating.
Interment will be in East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. EST.
