Nadean Hale, 89, of Crossville, passed away Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at Wyndridge Health & Rehab Center in Crossville.
She was born July 24, 1928, in La Follette, TN, daughter of the late George Melton McDowell and Rhoda (McGhee) McDowell. Nadean was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of God.
She is survived by her sons, Marvin M. Barnwell, Crossville, David G. Barnwell, Crossville and Terry K. Barnwell, Paducah, KY; step-sons, Jerry Barnwell, Englewood, TN, and Jerry Hale, Crossville; daughters, EJ Worley and Teresa Arrants, both of Florida; step-daughter, Charlene Shupert, Springfield, MO; and sister, Betty Jane Hawkins, Cookeville.
In addition to her parents, Nadean was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest White Barnwell; husband, Herbert Andrew Hale; brother, Paul Marlow; sisters, Uldean McDowell, Peggy Brock and Christine Rector; and step-children, Pauline, Ruby, Frances, Roy and Albert.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Barnwell officiating. Interment in New Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
