Milton Leon Walker, 67, of Crossville, passed away in Cumberland Medical Center on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017.
He was born Nov. 3, 1949, in Crossville, son of the late James Thomas Walker and Lora Alma Kerley. Milton worked for many years for Walker Brothers Logging and for the State of Tennessee Highway Department. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Gail Walker of Crossville; sons, Avery (Sherrie) Walker of Crossville and Allen (Sandy) Barnard of Glendale, AZ; daughters, Lynn (Chris) Waller of Lakeland, FL, Brandi (David) Kirk of Ozone, TN, and Kristal Hedrick of Lebanon, TN; brothers, Merle Walker and Terry Walker of Crossville and Leslie (Annetta) Walker of Lakeland, FL; step-brother, Michael (Karen) Leads of Crossville; and sister, Evelyn Phillips of Rogersville, TN. He was also survived by 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Milton was preceded in death by his wife, Diane (Burgess) Walker; son, Dewey Owens; brothers, Thomas Edward Walker, James William Walker and Theodore Ray Walker; sisters, Barbara Jean Brown, Linda Sue Kennedy and Mildred Ann Walker; and step-mother, Juanita (Smith) Walker.
Funeral services will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at 7 p.m. with Norman Walker officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside service will take place at the Music Cemetery on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at 9 a.m.
