Marsha Lorraine Bean
Marsha was born on Nov. 1, 1962, in Crossville, to the late Carolyn Hassler Hedgecoth of Big Lick and the late Jay Cee Hassler of Crab Orchard. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church of Big Lick. She graduated from Cumberland County High School in 1981.
Marsha married Thomas "Tommy" Carlisle Bean on May 20, 1993. The couple opened a real estate office, Bean & Associates, where Marsha served as office manager and an agent. The couple adopted many animals from animal shelters throughout the years and Marsha was a fierce advocate for animals.
Marsha is survived by her husband, Thomas "Tommy" Carlisle Bean; mother-in-law, Peggy Bean; sister-in-law, Kathy Bean; stepmother, Peggy Hassler; uncles, Bobby (Vicki) Rhea, Marshall (Nancy) Campbell, Paul Hassler and Lynn Hassler; brother, John (Carly) Hassler; sister, Angela (Leon) Hudson; brother, Matthew Hedgecoth; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marsha is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Thomas Bean; and grandparents, Paul and Suzy Hassler and Wesley and Jessie Rhea.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 5-7 p.m. at Bilbrey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. with Bro. Bro. Horace Burgess and Bro. Kirk Kirkeminde officiating. Burial will follow in Crossville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bob Erwin, Matthew Hedgecoth, Jim Hill, Terry Cope, Julian Gaylon and Arthur Beck.
Friends are asked to make donations to the Cumberland County Animal Shelter, 2 N. Main St., #303, Crossville, TN 38555, an organization that supports the animals she loved.
