Lyle Rex Campbell, 77, of Crossville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 26, 1940, in Jamestown, TN, son of the late Rex Ray Campbell and Geneva (Nelson) Campbell. Lyle worked as a correctional officer for the state of Tennessee and was of the Nazarene faith. He also proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Campbell, Crossville; daughters, Patricia Henley of Chattanooga, Lisa Potter of Crossville, Sandra Cooper of Monterey, Pam Carver of Crossville and Michelle Carver of Crossville; son, Lyle Rex Campbell Jr., Harriman; grandchildren, Cameron Yates, Lamar Henley, Jackie (Jeremy) Kramer, Jacob Potter, Sarah Carver, Tyler Potter, Kaitlyn (Zach) Carver Barnwell, Chad Cooper, and Morgana Campbell; great-granddaughters, Emma, Olivia and Lyla; sisters, Lucille Wilson and Vina Taylor; and brothers, Norman Campbell, Jerry Campbell and Terry Campbell.
In addition to his parents, Lyle was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Cooper; brother, Dee Brown; and sisters, Betty Ray Campbell and Wanda Mason.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at 1 p.m. with Rev. C.H. Christopher, Rev. Jeremy Kramer and Rev. Thomas Brady officiating. Interment in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
